Violence is everywhere in today’s society, on the news, television, and video games. The most popular form of entertainment for children are video games, with about 32% preferring fantasy and violence in 2003 and every year it is increasing ( Cesarone). Violent video games can cause children to have negative outcomes such as: altering a child’s perception between fantasy and reality, aggression, and health. Violent video games can cause harmful effects in children.
Children’s young minds are not usually exposed to violent situations in games, and playing them for hours could eventually alter a child’s sense of judgment.
