Mohammad’s Life
Mohammed literally means “the praised one”. Mohammed was born to a poor family. His family lived within a tribe. His mother and father died leaving his uncle to take of him. His uncle put him to work as a Shepard. As a teenager a Christian monk noticed markings on Mohammed’s body. The monk said the marks revealed that Mohammad was a prophet.
At 25 years of age Mohammad married as older woman named Khadijah. She was very supportive of him being a prophet. Mohammed spent time in solitude. After some time while Mohammed was on a solitary retreat the Angel Gabriel spoke to...
